Capacitors

CONTROLS:
- The PLATE AREA cursor allows you to choose the area of the capacitor plates.
- The DISTANCE BETWEEN PLATES cursor allows you to choose the separation between the capacitor plates.
- There are 6 choices for the dielectric between the capacitor plates.
- Press the gray dot on the edge of the capacitance meter knob and move to the appropriate scale.
DESCRIPTION OF THE SIMULATION:
This simulation allows to study the capacitance of a parallel plate capacitor and the functioning of a digital capacitance meter. The capacitance of a parallel plate capacitor can be studied as a function of the area of the plates, the separation between the plates and the dielectric between them. The dielectric constant of each material can vary, within a small margin, with each reset.
